My absolute number one annoyance about the holiday season is when Christmas decorations start showing up in stores in August.

Lynda, going very light on the traditional holidays this year because we're having a big family wedding in two weeks

I live in an apartment so we don't really do a lot for Halloween and for Christmas I just end up going to my parent's house for Christmas Eve.
So the rest of the time I will probably be at home, reading.

I hate it when the Christmas stuff comes out in July/August. Or you go into the store and you have Halloween on one side of the counter and Christmas on the other........

I don't do much for either Halloween or Christmas. I will probably retire to my bedroom and read on Halloween.......and have my parents over for Christmas Day dinner.

The best time I ever had at a Halloween party was when I went as Scarlett O'Hara. It was also the only time I ever wore a bridesmaid dress again. lol It was a beautiful ice green southern belle style dress with a cinched waist and long flowing skirt. Everyone at the party immediately knew I was Scarlett.

I don't know why my friend who got married always seemed a little affronted when I said the dress made a great Halloween costume.:)
