My mom, my two sisters and myself ALWAYS get up at 4:30 AM or 5 AM Friday morning after Thanksgiving and we shop! Till we DROP! Hours and hours. Then we have a huge breakfast, go home and sleep until dinner.
It's fabulous. Many treasured memories. It only gets better as we get older.
We have no really Thanksgiving traditions in my family, but then in Canada we have had our Thanksgiving in October. We do all get together as a family and have Turkey and all the trimmings though.
