I'm NOT Dreaming--It's a White Christmas

I see no one has put up a Sunday post yet, and we like to have one here, so I thought I'd jump in with a Winter Weather Update. There's a major Nor'easter moving through the--er--Northeast this weekend. It's dumping more than a foot of snow in several areas. I know all of NY is getting hit, and I've heard it's stretching across VT, MA, ME, NJ and probably lots of other places as well. I took a few pics today in between writing, so here's your winter weather report from upstate NY.
It's the perfect day to curl up with a mug of hot cocoa, a holiday special on TV, a blanket around your shoulders, and your feet in a bubbling hot foot bath. =) That's what I did, only instead of cocoa I had green tea, and instead of TV I had a computer on my lap, and a deadline staring me in the face the day after New Year's. In between the writing, I'm pampering myself on this snowy day. And in between the writing and the pampering, I trudged outside to fill the bird feeders with seed, try to give aid to my tumbled over lawn ornament, (Santa and his band,) and snapped a few pics. If the sun comes out I should be able to catch one of the icy limbs all glittering like diamonds, but for now it's too dreary to show the true beauty. Maybe tomorrow!

How are you spending the snowy winter days?

I wish i could tell you how I'm spending my snowy wintery days but the sun is out and it's extremely windy. I love the snow i guess because we have it so little but when it does snow i crank up the fireplace put the coffee on and then usually adventure outside with the kids. I love the beautiful pictures you put up they look so cooolllddd! I envy you with your snow there blow some to N.C.

Now if the Eagles could just pull off a win...

I hate to say it, but I am a California girl, with no snow in sight.

I live in MI, we got quite the snow storm last night. We usually get substantial snow in Jan, Feb, but not this early. Not this much, this fast! It's beautiful. I've been inside, watching A & E's Pride and Prejudice...working on my numerous final exams. Two down, one more to go :)

I thought it was done, but it started up again tonight. My best friend is up north, and they got close to two feet. I'm only up to 6 or 7 inches, so I feel lucky!

Wonderful pictures! I'd like to have some snow here to northern Europe, too but here it's only raining every day. Of course you can do the same things indoor and look at the rain but it's so dull!! I'd like a white Christmas...

We got some snow on Saturday and I pretty much stayed home yesterday catching up on shows on my DVR. Stayed in my pj's until afternoon, sitting in my recliner with blankets around me! Was a nice change of pace.

Unfortunately or maybe fortunately I am too far south for there to be any snow. But if there were snow I'd snuggle up in bed with a good book or three and read all day.

The snow looks beautiful but I have to say as a native Southern Californian it just wouldn't be Christmas without 75 degree weather and the possiblilty that I could take my kids to the beach to swim. After all we pay extra for nice weather!
