Spring is nature's way of saying, "Let's party!" Robin Williams
And Spring arose on the garden fair,
Like the Spirit of Love felt everywhere;
And each flower and herb on Earth's dark breast
rose from the dreams of its wintry rest.
Percy Bysshe Shelley
If you've never been thrilled to the very edges of your soul by a flower in spring bloom, maybe your soul has never been in bloom. Audra Foveo
In springtime, love is carried on the breeze. Watch out for flying passion or kisses whizzing by your head. Emma Racine deFleur
For winter's rains and ruins are over,
And all the season of snows and sins;
The days dividing lover and lover,
The light that loses, the night that wins;
And time remembered is grief forgotten,
And frosts are slain and flowers begotten,
And in green underwood and cover
Blossom by blossom the spring begins.
Algernon Charles Swinburne
And all the season of snows and sins;
The days dividing lover and lover,
The light that loses, the night that wins;
And time remembered is grief forgotten,
And frosts are slain and flowers begotten,
And in green underwood and cover
Blossom by blossom the spring begins.
Algernon Charles Swinburne

Spring has returned. The Earth is like a child that knows poems. Rainer Maria Rilke
The first day of spring was once the time for taking the young virgins into the fields, there in dalliance to set an example in fertility for nature to follow. Now we just set the clocks an hour ahead and change the oil in the crankcase. E.B. White

First a howling blizzard woke us,
Then the rain came down to soak us,
And now before the eye can focus

ah. . . you hit all my buttons. As everyone here knows, I love spring. I particularly love spring in the south -- Memphis and Atlanta being my two prime examples -- and it does make my heart sing . . . and yearn.
What glorious poems! Thank you!
Lynda
Gorgeous pictures to match the glorious poetry.

Beautiful poems! I understand exactly what your talking about because I've been feeling it for several weeks now...its like something is building and building. When I see everyting starting to grow and bloom it fills a need in me but also starts another need to live and do.
