It's late, yes, it's late. And only recently I vowed to do my Thursday blogs on the weekend so they'd be ready in advance. But in this case, my internet has been down since Sunday! Ugh!
Anyway, all is well, and I'm waiting to find out if I can get cable. =) The easier I can make my life, the better I like it.
So here's your challenge for the week. When something is irritating the heck out of you, stop what you're doing, and take a step back, and think about how you can make a change that will prevent the same irritating thing from happening again.
I've been griping about my phone and internet being unreliable for months. Maybe years. And it only just hit me now that the cost of getting cable to my door would be negligible in comparison to the stress of the service going out so often. Duh, Maggie.
If you hit your head on a light fixture every time you get out of bed, you need to make a change. Move the bed. Move the fixture. Get out on the other side. Something. But it ends the problem. What you don't do, is just keep getting up and banging your head and then griping about it for the first hour of your day. =)
I think sometimes we get so busy bitching about the irritations in life, that we block the solutions to them, because our focus is all on the problem. You only get what you focus on.
So the next irritating thing shouldn't bother me at all. I should instead be thinking, "Oh, I see what you're telling me, little irritation. You're telling me that there's a better way to approach this particular issue." And then I can go on to looking for the solution, and not staring uselessly at the problem.
YAY! Another enlightening moment brought to you by life's little irritations.
By the way, this one is on sale right now!
Until next time,
Maggie

How right you are...instead of complaining about my mowers sitting in the weather constantly and needing maintence more I decided to buy a shed. My middle son built the floor today and we will be putting up said shed tomorrow! Problem solved.
Thanks Maggie!
